I live on the old Benjamin Brown farm on Dry Fork Creek of the North Fork of the Kentucky River about three miles north of Whitesburg in Letcher County, Kentucky.  The grave of John Q. Brown, War of 1812, is about three miles below my house.  The grave of Benjamin Brown, killed in 1865, is about half mile below my house.  The grave of William Ransom Brown is behind my house.  Benjamin obtained this property on Dry Fork in patents during the early 1840's and has been handed down ever since.  I live on part of the farm.
