Lyman Avery Brown born about 1810 in New York State was my great great grandfather. He was married to Mary Clapp from New York via Massachusetts. Lyman died in Franklin, Pa on October 2, 1895. He had a brother Philander Brown born about 1817 in New York who died the same day on October 2, 1895 in Warren County, Brokenstraw Township, PA. The 1850 US Census records that a Samuel Brown born about 1780 in NY was living with him in 1850. Perhaps this is his father?
